The struggles of entering universities such as Oxford and Harvard are as enormous as the prestige associated with them, especially in developing nations like ours. While we acknowledge that this sort of a struggle becomes even larger for the whole dalit community, this cannot be denied that an opportunity like this is no less than a distant dream for the dalit woman. We at AmbedkarNama have endeavoured to bring some hope and inspiration for our audience by interviewing one such young dalit woman Disha, who recently got invitation for PhD from Oxford University. In this special episode, she shares her motivation for taking up research, her journey from framing a research proposal to getting an invitation from the University. The young scholar also talks about other crucial aspects of studying abroad like references and getting financial aid.
